I've spent more than 30 years as a reporter/editor with newspapers and magazines but it was not until a few years ago that I considered attempting fiction. The catalyst for this effort came from the introduction of the iPhone. The hysteria that surrounded this event impressed me as customers, the news media and Wall Street reached a fever pitch. So I began considering a scenario whereby conspirators put a bug in the the newest smartphone. If you read The Wave you'll see what I mean.
