Readers who enjoy The Hunger Games, Divergent, and Angelfall will enjoy XENOFREAK NATION

Author’s Inspiration: I think of the future as a spectrum where at one end there will still be pockets of humanity living like our paleolithic ancestors and at the very opposite end of that spectrum will be scientists whose knowledge is far beyond of the average person. In XN, I wanted to mirror the last twenty years, where, aside from the fluctuating political climate, the things that changed most for the average person were mainly technological in nature. The challenge was depicting human nature as both a constant and a variable; how we use or abuse new technology to get what we want as individuals and as a nation influenced by individuals.

Melissa Conway

All through school, I thought I would grow up to be a writer or an artist, but life, as it tends to do, side-lined my dreams. As a single working mom, writing was simply not a priority. At some point I began writing again on my breaks and lunches at work. In my mid-thirties, after a few starts and stops, I finished my first novel and self-published that novel and the next six. I may not have reached the pinnacle of accomplishment and become a raging best-seller, but I love what I do and consider myself successful every time a reader takes the time to let me know they enjoyed one of my books.

Brie McGill

Brie has suffered from an overactive imagination since childhood. Some believe that it developed during her childhood in the never ending corn maze of rural Pennsylvania. Instead of opting for the expensive surgery to remove her musings by force, she has decided to write them down.
