The story is so well told, by turns poetic and brutal, that it has huge emotional impact, gripping the reader from start to finish.
Trapped on a desolate arctic island, Liana is pushed to the edge and must face her elemental fears. It is a haunting tale of the biting physical toil survival often requires. Graham Wilson simultaneously strips down the American adventure novel while broadening its concerns to encompass themes of compassion and belonging. It is a universal tale told with a simplicity and directness rarely seen today. An Island Between Two Shores is an unforgettable story of hope and possibility.
The author’s inspiration for this book: I have lived in the Yukon since 1986. I like to paddle, ski and climb and have explored much of the north. My writing is influenced by these adventures.

His wife and daughters were at home, stranded on the roof as zombies waited below. He would have to fight through hordes of undead, merciless other survivors, and a series of death defying stunts to get home. However, even if he makes it there, how can he be sure they’re safe?
Deadlocked puts you into David’s head as he struggles to get home. Then a final confrontation occurs that could guarantee his family’s survival, but at what cost?
As a self proclaimed conesseiur of the mystery genre, I have to say that I loved this book.
Detective Constable Scott Cullen of Lothian and Borders has only been three months in CID as a full DC. He is assigned a Missing Persons case which has stretched his uniform colleagues. Caroline Adamson – a young, recently divorced mother from Edinburgh – has disappeared whilst on a date.
The more Cullen digs into her disappearance, the more he unravels her private life. Who was she on a date with? What happened during her divorce from Rob Thomson? As Cullen’s own private life gets messier and the relationship with his DI deteriorates, Caroline’s body turns up and he finds himself hunting for a ghost in the machine.
Book one of the Scott Cullen series.
