Though he is not yet thirty years old, B.C. Tweedt knows kids. A teacher of four years, a sports camp counselor for three, and a youth group mentor for twelve, B.C. has seen his share of personalities, heard the craziest stories, and guided many of boys through the toughest trials. It is out of these experiences that he creates authentic, believable characters with humor that appeals to the current generation. The books he writes go through extensive revisions while still in drafts, but none more important than the changes suggested by the kids he knows. They tell him what they like, and he does his best to deliver. The gritty action scenes, the romantic crushes, and the moral dilemmas are as powerful and entertaining as they are because of their help and the inspiration they provide.

Eat, breathe, sleep, write. It wasn’t until I was a pre-teen before I realized that not everybody did this. There have always been voices in my head, whispering to me to tell their stories. I assumed it was normal, and even when I found out that it wasn’t, I embraced it, loved it. It’s a part of me and who I am. I love my fictional characters as though they are real. Being an author, writing about different places and people, means I am never, ever alone, and who wouldn’t want that existence? It is my creative outlet, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I pray the voices never stop talking to me.

I live in New York City, where I hide out from the weather and write romance novels about characters who land in my imagination and won’t leave until I tell their story. I’m married and have two grown sons. My rescued pug, Homer, keeps me company as I write. Homer and I go on long walks in Central Park to think about plots and characters. I started out my writing life in nonfiction. But one day, Callie Richards, heroine of my Now and Forever series, arrived in my head and begged me to write her story. I write what I like to read, realistic stories about people overcoming obstacles, learning to trust and find true love, always with a twist or two to keep my readers guessing. I’m just a romantic at heart.
