Book Description: Intrigue and rivalry among princes casts a shadow on the court of the king of north Wales. When a royal groom is murdered on the way to his wedding, the bride’s brother tasks his two best detectives with bringing the killer to justice. Other books in the series include a prequel, The Bard’s Daughter, and two novels: The Uninvited Guest and The Fourth Horseman.
Readers who enjoys The Brother Cadfael series by Ellis Peters will love The Good Knight.
Author’s Inspiration: I love historical mysteries and I love writing books set in medieval Wales. It seemed the thing to do 🙂
I started writing books appropriate for young teens to adults when my own children were teenagers, and I found that I had so many stories to tell I had to do it full time. I love medieval Wales and historical mysteries, so the Gareth and Gwen medieval mystery series just had to be written. I have a Ph.D. in anthropology and enjoy doing research–the challenge is writing something that is historically accurate but also a good story!
I love reading and am fascinated with the writing process. I’ve been writing novels since 2007, but I used to write a lot when I was in middle school. It would be a dream to make a living just telling stories.
Book Description: This book follows the adventures of a ten-year-old boy Joey and his pet chameleon Larry. With the help of their mysterious Big Red Button, they can travel to any time and place to learn wacky and weird facts about the world. As they set off on their first Big Red Button adventure, they meet a few English settlers and a Native American tribe. Will they prevent a conflict?
Author’s Inspiration: I was inspired by my children’s interest in strange and weird facts from around the world.
Max Candee is a dad of three curious kids. He writes books for children together with twelve-year-old Ivan, seven-year-old Naomi and five-year-old Maya, who all share their passionate opinions and creative ideas. They even draw in Max’s manuscripts, and they love it when professional illustrators build on their suggestions. In fact, Max only publishes those books which his children loved and wanted to share with their friends.
Book Description: A girl flees her restrictive, isolated life and uncovers and solves crimes with a secret espionage society called The Academy, and against their wishes, she falls in love with nine of its members. In this ongoing series, this first book will have you meet and fall in love with nine incredible men who will do anything to protect the one girl they’ve all become drawn to.
Author’s Inspiration: A lot of Japanese anime and otome games and a whole lot of desire for a girl to finally have a shot at not having to choose just one guy. A few Japanese shows and games are about reverse harems, in with two or more guys fall in love with the same girl and eventually agree to share her. It’s a very touching situation that I thought would be interesting to play with and I’ve brought it over to the American market.
When I was a teenager, I started writing poetry for a boy I liked. The romance never worked out, but the writing stuck. I jumped from writing poetry to writing novels right off, and haven’t stopped since.
For about ten years I worked very hard at writing that perfect manuscript. It wasn’t until about two years ago I finally discovered The Academy. The moment I started writing it, I haven’t been able to stop. I was fan girling over nine incredible people and was eager to share them with everyone else.
Book Description: Elise Michaels is a thrill seeker, continually craving excitement and adventure. The idea of being tied down to a place or man never interested her, despite the betrothal spell that was cast upon her birth, linking her and the Head of Council’s son.
Being a distant third in succession to assume the Head Mistress role, she felt confidant that her secret would remain in her past along with Coven life. Unfortunately, nothing in our fun loving heroine’s future is anything she or anyone from the supernatural realm is prepared for.
Book Description: This is a prequel novella in the Allie’s War series, an alternate history romance featuring a gritty, unique and modern day Earth with star-crossed telekinetic lovers, Allie Taylor and Dehgoies Revik. In this version of modern Earth, a second race of psychic beings, called Seers, live side by side with humans. This story takes place a year or so before Revik pulls Allie out of San Francisco, and informs her that she’s a seer. She gets into a jam in New York while she’s there to see her boyfriend, Jaden’s, band play, and Revik has to come to her rescue, nearly getting both of them killed in the process.
Author’s Inspiration: This series has been hanging around me for years now. I started dreaming about one of the characters, Revik, when I was in my late teens and twenties, and it seemed like he just demanded that I write his story. Allie came out of that, being someone he needed in his life, both to push back and stand up to him, but also to accept him for who he was and love him in spite of all of his faults.
JC Andrijeski writes new adult urban fantasy, dystopian, paranormal romance and crime fiction. Current works include the new adult urban fantasy series, Allie’s War, new adult dystopian series, Alien Apocalypse, and the Gate Shifter series, about a shape-shifting alien and a tough-girl PI from Seattle. She also has a new crime series in the works, with a quirky, brilliant and deeply dangerous hero named Quentin Black.

Book Description: Tessa is a teenaged vampire who can’t handle the sight and taste of blood. Because of this, she’s an outcast in her family. With no where else to turn, she decides to “be” human. But when vampires interfere with her typical human life by kidnapping her boyfriend, things take an interesting turn.
Author’s Inspiration: I wrote this book originally for my daughter (after swearing I’d never write a vampire story) only to find that Tessa had moved into my heart and made herself right at home. Since that first moment, I could do nothing but honor her story and get it down for others to enjoy! 🙂
