Missing Amanda (Lou Fleener Mysteries Book 1) by Duane Lindsay: Duane Lindsay’s fresh take on the tough-guy detective is nicely buttressed by humor, graceful writing, and big, fun plots that sometimes evolve into intricate capers. His P.I. Lou Fleener is kind of short, slightly pudgy, and a little nondescript, but capable of taking out a whole roomful of baddies without firing a shot - plus he's a great dancer.
